1. A practice notice says: ‘Eastbound buses skip Park Stop on weekdays from 09:00 until 15:00. Westbound service is unchanged.’ Which trip is affected?
Answer and explanation

Eastbound at 10:00 on Tuesday. Tuesday is a weekday, 10:00 is inside the stated period, and the notice applies only to eastbound service.

2. Instructions say: ‘Report to Room 4 at 08:20 with photo identification. Calculators are not permitted.’ What should an applicant do?
Answer and explanation

Arrive at Room 4 with photo ID by 08:20. The room, time and identification are explicit. The instruction does not allow a calculator or a later arrival.

3. A practice bulletin says: ‘Use Bay 6 after 18:00. Before 18:00, continue using Bay 2.’ Which bay applies at 17:45?
Answer and explanation

Bay 2. 17:45 is before 18:00, so the instruction to use Bay 2 applies.

4. A notice states: ‘The library entrance on Oak Street is closed. The Pine Street entrance remains open.’ Which conclusion is supported?
Answer and explanation

Visitors can use the Pine Street entrance. Only the Oak Street entrance is closed. The notice does not say that the building or street is closed.

5. An invitation lists a written assessment but gives no duration or pass mark. What can you conclude from that invitation alone?
Answer and explanation

A written assessment is scheduled; its duration and pass mark are unspecified. Do not fill missing details with assumptions. Ask the recruitment team or consult its current instructions.

6. In a training timetable, a bus leaves at 08:12 and arrives at 08:47. How long is the trip?
Answer and explanation

35 minutes. 47 − 12 = 35 minutes. Both times fall within the same hour.

7. You reach a training transfer stop at 09:18. The connecting bus leaves at 09:26. What is the scheduled wait?
Answer and explanation

8 minutes. 09:26 minus 09:18 is 8 minutes. This is a scheduled interval, not a guarantee of a real connection.

8. A practice trip departs at 23:48 and arrives at 00:17 the next day. What is its duration?
Answer and explanation

29 minutes. There are 12 minutes from 23:48 to midnight, then 17 more minutes: 12 + 17 = 29.

9. A fictional weekday service leaves at 07:05, 07:25, 07:45 and 08:05. What is the interval between departures?
Answer and explanation

20 minutes. Each departure is 20 minutes after the preceding departure. Use this listed pattern only for the stated service day.

10. A practice timetable has arrivals at 10:14, 10:34 and 10:54. You need to arrive by 10:40 and allow 10 minutes to walk. Which is the latest suitable bus arrival?
Answer and explanation

10:14. The bus must arrive by 10:30. Of the listed arrivals, only 10:14 leaves at least 10 minutes before 10:40.

11. A training fare is $3.25. A passenger tenders $5.00. What is the arithmetic difference, without assuming the agency gives change?
Answer and explanation

$1.75. 5.00 − 3.25 = 1.75. Real fare and change rules must be checked with the agency.

12. There are 28 passengers. At the next stop, 7 leave and 4 board. How many passengers remain?
Answer and explanation

25. Subtract those who leave, then add those who board: 28 − 7 + 4 = 25.

13. A practice journey has segments of 6 km, 4 km and 9 km. What is the total distance?
Answer and explanation

19 km. Add all three segments: 6 + 4 + 9 = 19 km.

14. You answer 18 of 24 practice questions correctly. What percentage is correct?
Answer and explanation

75%. 18 ÷ 24 = 0.75, which is 75%. This arithmetic result is not an employer’s pass mark.

15. A classroom exercise allocates 45 minutes for reading and 35 minutes for schedules. What is the total study time?
Answer and explanation

1 hour 20 minutes. 45 + 35 = 80 minutes. Since 60 minutes make one hour, that is 1 hour 20 minutes.

16. A training route serves West Terminal → Library → Hospital → East Terminal, in that order. Travelling toward East Terminal from the Library, which stop comes next?
Answer and explanation

Hospital. Read forward from Library in the stated direction. Hospital is the next listed stop.

17. On a training map, north is up. A route runs three blocks right, then two blocks up. In which direction is its endpoint from its start?
Answer and explanation

Northeast. Right is east and up is north on this map. Combining them gives northeast.

18. Training Route A serves Station → Museum → Park. Training Route B serves College → Museum → Clinic. Which listed stop is shared by both routes?
Answer and explanation

Museum. Museum appears in both lists. The question establishes a shared stop, not actual transfer timing or accessibility.

19. Two practice buses display the same route number. One is marked ‘North Terminal’, the other ‘South Terminal’. What additional information helps you choose the correct direction?
Answer and explanation

The destination for the trip you need. A route number alone does not identify direction. Compare the destination with the trip you intend to make.

20. A training list reads A → B → C → D. A separate return list reads D → E → B → A. Which stop appears only on the return list?
Answer and explanation

E. E appears on the return list but not the outbound list. Do not assume a return route simply reverses every stop.

21. In a communication exercise, a passenger asks about a connection you have not verified. Which response is strongest?
Answer and explanation

Say you need to check the current information before confirming it. Give verifiable information and acknowledge uncertainty. A confident guess can misdirect someone.

22. A customer says, ‘I need the clinic, not the hospital.’ What is the best first communication step in this exercise?
Answer and explanation

Confirm which clinic they mean before giving directions. Clarifying the destination addresses the actual request and avoids an unsupported assumption.

23. A practice instruction says to refer fare disputes to the designated support channel. A rider disputes a charge. Which response follows the supplied instruction?
Answer and explanation

Explain the designated support channel calmly. Follow the procedure given in the exercise. This does not establish any real agency’s fare-dispute policy.

24. You are writing a practice incident summary. Which sentence separates observation from guesswork?
Answer and explanation

‘At 14:10, I saw a bag on seat 6; I did not see who left it.’. The first sentence records an observed time and location and states what is unknown. The others add unverified claims.

25. An interview practice prompt asks for an example of handling a disagreement. Which preparation is most useful?
Answer and explanation

Choose a truthful example and explain the situation, your action and the result. A specific, truthful example demonstrates your own reasoning. Do not claim experience or results you do not have.
