What Saskatoon Transit asks for

Proof of Grade 12 education is required as part of the recruitment process. (source)
A valid Class 5 licence (or higher) is required to apply, and a Class 2A learner’s licence is required before a position is offered. (source)
A Class 2A or Class 1A licence is required on finishing the five-week training program. (source)
Your current driver’s abstract from SGI is reviewed during the interview process, and a Criminal Background Check and Vulnerable Sector Check are required before your first day of work. (source)

Bus operator written tests usually check three skills: reading a route map, knowing traffic signs (see the SGI Saskatchewan Driver’s Handbook: six basic sign shapes every driver must know), and knowing where major Saskatoon landmarks are.
